A Joyful Afternoon at the Lemon Grove Painting Event

Community, creativity, and a whole lot of lemons.

Every great event begins long before the first guest arrives. For Lemon Grove, it started with a car full of supplies, paintings, boxes, and that cheerful lemon‑themed welcome sign peeking out from the backseat. There’s something special about that moment — the quiet anticipation, the preparation, the feeling of bringing an idea to life.

And this time, that excitement came with an extra spark — the Lemon Grove Painting Event was officially sold out, with every seat claimed days before the class.

Before class began, I finalized a playful Lemon Grove toast — a little ritual to set the tone. Something bright, whimsical, and full of cheer. It became the perfect opener for the afternoon, a way to gather everyone into the same creative headspace.

Hosted at Wagonhound Wine Co. in Cheyenne, Wyoming, the event space paired beautifully with the sunny, citrus‑inspired theme. The flyer captured the vibe perfectly: bright yellows, fresh greens, and paintings that feel like summer on canvas.

The sold‑out status added a wonderful energy — guests arrived knowing they were part of something special and limited.

As guests arrived, the room filled with laughter, conversation, and that unmistakable buzz of people ready to create. The tables were set with lemons, brushes, tape, and all the little details that make a painting class feel both cozy and lively.

The backdrop of colorful artwork and string lights added a touch of magic — a reminder that creativity thrives in spaces filled with personality.

Once everyone settled in, we began. I guided the group through each step, from placing tape, sketching the first shapes to blending those signature Lemon Grove yellows.

Guests painted, sipped, chatted, and found their own rhythm. Some canvases leaned whimsical, others leaned bold — each one a reflection of the painter behind it.
