Breaking News: Petrichor Has Been Overrun by Guinea Pigs
Reports began coming in over the course of two classes.
At first, there were only a few guinea pigs spotted on canvases. Then they started appearing on every table. Soon they were taking over the studio, filling the courtyard, and capturing the attention of every artist in attendance.
By the end of our two-part fundraiser, the conclusion was undeniable:

Fortunately, this was exactly the kind of takeover we were hoping for.
A Fundraiser with Purpose
This special two-class event was created to support Cavies & Canines Animal Rescue, an organization dedicated to helping guinea pigs and other small animals find safe, loving homes.
As both an artist and guinea pig advocate, bringing together creativity, community, and animal rescue is one of my favorite ways to make a difference. Participants not only left with a finished painting but also helped support a cause that is close to my heart.
Meet the Muse Behind the Mayhem
Every great artistic movement needs a muse, and this fundraiser was no exception.
The inspiration for this two-class guinea pig fundraiser was Bones from Wagz Dog Pawlor, whose adorable charm helped spark the idea for this special event. While the studio may have eventually been overrun by painted guinea pigs, Bones was the one who got the creative wheels turning.

Artists of All Ages Joined the Takeover
Over the two classes, artists of all ages gathered at Petrichor to create their own guinea pig-inspired masterpieces.
Families painted together, friends shared tables, and first-time painters discovered just how much fun it can be to create something from scratch.
From Blank Canvas to Guinea Pig Masterpiece
Every painting began with a simple sketch and gradually evolved through layers of autumn-inspired colors, decorative details, and personal creativity.
Throughout both classes, artists learned painting techniques while adding their own unique touches. Some chose realistic guinea pig markings while others embraced whimsical swirls, bright colors, and imaginative backgrounds.
The Guinea Pigs Begin Their Takeover
As the paintings developed, guinea pigs began appearing everywhere.
On easels.
On tables.
In every corner of the studio.
Each guinea pig painting reflected the creativity of its artist. No two were alike, yet together they created a charming collection of furry personalities.
Creativity Builds Community
One of the best parts of these classes wasn't just the artwork. It was the conversations, laughter, encouragement, and connections that happened along the way.
Artists shared ideas, helped one another, and celebrated each stage of the process.
Whether someone had years of painting experience or had never picked up a paintbrush before, everyone contributed to a welcoming and supportive environment.
Family Participation Made It Even More Special
Several families attended together, making the fundraiser especially memorable.
Watching parents and children create side by side was a beautiful reminder that art can bring generations together while creating lasting memories.
The Takeover Is Complete
When the final brushstrokes were finished, artists gathered outside to celebrate their accomplishments.
At that moment, the evidence was impossible to ignore.
The guinea pigs had officially taken over Petrichor.
Every painting told a story. Every artist brought a unique perspective. And every participant helped support an important cause.
