Paints were arranged, raffle tickets tucked neatly into place, calendars stacked, and signage set out to welcome the community. There was a peaceful charm in these early moments — the calm before the creative buzz that would soon fill the River District.
When Wondercrawl Came Alive
As the event began, the quiet setup transformed into a lively flow of visitors wandering through the River District. People stopped to browse the artwork, chat, and take in the cozy, colorful atmosphere of the booth. The community canvas quickly became a favorite — guests eagerly adding their own brushstrokes, each one contributing to a shared piece of art that grew more vibrant with every passerby.
A Vase Filled by Many Hands
The centerpiece of the day was a vase painting that grew with each visitor. Everyone who stopped by added a flower, turning the canvas into a living bouquet of community spirit. By evening, the vase overflowed with color — a collective artwork that carried the fingerprints of Wondercrawl itself.
Christmas in July Raffle
Excitement built as raffle tickets were drawn right on the grass. Ms. O’Connell’s name was chosen, and she’ll be taking home an original acrylic painting — a joyful highlight of the day.

Throughout the afternoon, the booth buzzed with energy. Paintings hung from the canopy, easels displayed new works, and visitors paused to admire and connect. Each photo captured the warmth and vibrancy of Wondercrawl’s spirit.

Up next is the Lemon Grove Showdown-a playful competition between Cheyenne and Fort Collins to see which class ills up first. Each participant will add their own lemon to the grove, and the winning town earns bragging rights as the lemon grove champion. every participant also will receive a free Lemon Grove art print, making this challenge both fun and rewarding.
